The clear lid has a quality, hard-wearing two-way zip that goes around most of the bag which allows it to open fully so you can see all the contents of the bag with ease. It also fits over a lip on the underside, so when zipped up, water can't leak into the main compartment. It is a semi-rigid design, so it won't collapse on itself when not fully loaded.
