One of many ways to construct a running rig. This rig sleeve features a slit in the bottom to slide a swivel into for attaching the hooklink. The sleeve has an angled shelf which the lead sits on, this angle allows the lead to hang straight for increased casting distances. The long tail is ideally suited to be pushed onto rig tubing or fitting over a lead core leader for a seamless running section for the lead to sit on. When a fish takes, the rig will run through the ring on the lead. To make the lead more secure on the sleeve, the addition of a tail rubber can help, the rubber will pop off when a fish runs allowing the rig to become free running.
