The most popular type of lead clip, built from strong, durable plastic. The lead clip is designed to eject the lead when a fish takes, so the angler is playing the fish directly. This reduces snagging and potential loss of fish. The lead clip is designed to accommodate most size 7 and 8 sized swivels securely. A series of ribbed undulations allow the lead clip to grip a tail rubber easily, these undulations also allow the angler to set the tension on the lead clip. If they want to eject the lead every time a fish takes in snaggy conditions, the tail rubber can be set light. Pushing it further up the lead clip makes the hold more secure, ideal for anglers who don’t want to drop the lead each time a fish is hooked.
Also available is a lead clip with a swivel lock, this involved a T-bar peg design that is slotted through a hole in the side of the lead clip which runs through the swivel eye. This is designed to securely lock the swivel that the hooklink attaches to more than the standard lead clip. Ideal for use when casting distances.
All of our lead clips are safe, ensuring that the lead will detach from the rig if a fish is broken off, minimising the risk of tethering and fish damage.
