Littlehampton based TronixFishing have announced the appointment of a new Marketing Manager to look after the online and offline marketing of the business. Former World Sea Fishing owner Mike Thrussell Jnr has been appointed to the new role to help the business further expand on its marketing ambitions in the UK and Europe.
Mike ran the World Sea Fishing (WSF) website for 18 years, building it into the largest sea angling website in the UK and one of the most recognisable online brands in UK angling. Mike sold the website to Canadian media company VerticalScope Inc in early 2016.
TronixFishing Managing Director George Cunningham said “Mike has a proven track record in the industry for delivering angling content to the end user. So it was a simple decision for me, when Mike told me about the sale of World Sea Fishing and explained he would have some spare time on his hands I thought it an ideal opportunity to offer him a position within the company. Since this day our marketing plans have been transformed and I feel totally comfortable having Mike at the helm of this.”
Mike added “When George offered me the opportunity to work with TronixFishing I was delighted to accept the role. TronixFishing is a forward thinking business, it’s open to new ideas and together we’ve come up with a solid marketing plan that focuses on engaging our end users, promoting our brands and products and ultimately increasing sales for our retail customers.”
Since the appointment TronixFishing have been busy expanding their online reach. A new online product catalogue is due to be launched in April which gives consumers more product information and a more direct link to finding their nearest stockists. A relaunch of the content website is on the cards for May, bringing anglers the best tips, articles and information to get the most out of their fishing. The company has also launched both of its in house brands Tronixpro and HTO on Instagram, allowing Prostaff, Partners and anglers to display their catches to a worldwide audience.
