Brigand Charters are based in Brighton, offering a wide range of fishing from inshore and offshore work to cross-channel trips to the Channel Islands and France.
The boat is a 10m Blythe Workcat which is coded for 12 anglers up to 60nm off-shore, cruising at 15kns she is capable of getting to the fishing grounds quickly, maximising your time on the water. The island wheelhouse ensures there is plenty of space for fishing, around 100 feet in total, meaning there is plenty of room for each angler. A flush toilet, microwave, kettle and full canopy make your trip a comfortable one.
The boat is skippered by Steve Green, who has boats and fishing in his blood. He learnt to sail at the age of 11, moving up to bigger boats and competing in International Regattas all over the world, culminating in winning the Rolex World Cup. He has several transatlantic crossings under his belt and has logged over 40,000 miles at sea. Steve was taught to fish by his father, spending summer holidays aboard his Uncle’s Portrush based charter boat, benefiting from over 40 years of charter skipper knowledge, his Uncle still fishes aboard Brigand regularly.
Brigand Charters specialises in a wide range of fishing, taking advantage of many angling opportunities that exist around the South Coast. Turbot trips are a speciality, which these fine eating fish lying in wait off the Sussex coast. The English Channel is known for its excellent cod fishing and both inshore and offshore charters are undertaken to catch this prized fish. Other fishing opportunities include plaice, bass, bream, wreck and general fishing. For the more adventurous, trips to Dieppe and Alderney are also run regularly.
